Who can join the Freshman Program?
Student can join this program, in Lebanon or
in Germany, once he/she has earned successfully:
- Lebanese Baccalaureate (L.S, G.S, S.E…)
- French Baccalaureate
- Technical Baccalaureate, (BT3)
- IGCSE (for Middle East Region)
- Grade 12 (High School)
Courses taught in the Freshman Program
- Students are taught German Language
(B2 Level),English Language, Mathematics,
Physics plus Internship . - After completion of the Freshman year, students
are guaranteed admission to engineering
programs at FH Aachen and its partner Universities.
Admission Requirements to GLT – Lebanon
- Notarized copy of Lebanese Baccalaureate
II or equivalent - Copy of Passport or ID
- Two passport photos
- Registration fees

The Freshman program in Lebanon is a full time course with more than 700 teaching hours over 2 semesters.

In addition to the above courses an internship of 12 weeks of full time practical workshop.
Students who meet the above two conditions will:
- Receive the acceptance letter from the FH Aachen University.
- Prepare for the visa process at the German Embassy in Beirut.
Courses Taught in the Freshman Program
- Students are taught German Language (A1, A2, B1, B2 levels)
Instead of (B2 level). - After completion of the Freshman year, students
are guaranteed admission to engineering
programs at FH Aachen.
Students who decide to enroll in Germany must:
- Registered at GLT and go through the Freshman year program in Lebanon.
- Pass the final exams.
Final Exams and Grades :
- By the end of the academic year, students will sit for final exams in Math, Physics and German Language (B2 level).
- Math and Physics exams will be supervised by the Director of FI – Aachen Prof. Dr. Josef Hodapp.
- The German Language exam will be also be supervised by the Freshman Institute Aachen at GLT offices in Jounieh.
- After passing these exams, FH Aachen will sent you an acceptance letter and a B2 certificate ensuring students their German language success.
